Note 1: For the purposes of this history, we will assume that MR begins in late autumn of YD (Year of the Duchy) 1642 and ends in the early autumn of YD 1643. [AM Year of the Three Toed Sloth, Century of the Anchovy]

Note 2: There are some wars -- mentioned by Jackrum during the Trial -- that I haven't brought up. I'll need to (eventually) go poking through that scene again to sort out where they land in the History as related by me. :-)

1539: Maladicta (…) von Borogvia, Born.
1546: Ulrich, eldest child of Duke Vledemir, born
1548: Jan, second son of Duke Vledemir, born
1551: Annagovia, youngest child and only daughter of Duke Vledemir, born.
1573: Duke Vledemir of Borogvia, dies (assassinated in Uberwald, see “A Series of Accidents”, by Hyel). Duke Ulrich instated. Seventeenth War with Uberwald begins.

1575: William Frot, born.
1577: Seventeenth War with Uberwald Ends. Solvan Territory divided between Borogvia and Uberwald.

1578: Ulrich found guilty of… something… er… Duke Jan instated.
1579: Mildred Froc, Born, Annagovia of Borogvia married to Prince Albert of Zlobenia (Brother of Prince Marmaduke, Ruler of Zlobenia)

YD 1645: Borogvia Suffers its first drought in two hundred years. Corporal M. von Borogvia is beheaded in battle, but is revived by the blood of a fallen soldier. First War w/ Solvania ends when Solvania surrenders (temporarily, as it turns out) after the capture of the Vaurosh Keep by a squad of the tenth foot — known as the “Monstrous Regiment” due to their unprecedented numbers of trolls, vampires, Kvetch, Igors, and women — by cunning and honesty. Sergeant P. Perks and Corporal M. von Borogvia begin their romantic relationship.

YD 1650: Mr. Perks marries the widow Clambers. On the eve of
1651, the Duchy of Borogravia is formally disolved. A military government is officially installed, headed by General Froc of the Borogravian Army, now Commander General of Borogravia. [Just after “A Joke Turned Upside Down” — Hyel]

YD 1651 (Year of the Republic 1): Duchess Anagovia is publically and officially declared deceased at the age of ninety-eight (although she had, in fact, been dead for nearly forty years already). The standard three months of mourning are decreed and the last royal ruler of Borogravia is formally laid to rest. Presiding over the mourning ceremonies are Commander General Froc and Former-Private Alice Goom, through-whom the Duchess once spoke. Solvania attacks in force, declaring that treaties signed by the Duchy are null and void under the Republic.

YD 1653 / YR 3: Borogravian Army is snowed in and held under siege by the Solvanians in the mountains currently known as “the disputed territory”. Lieutenant P. Perks goes down in the melee leading to the siege. Miraculously survives despite a dangerous head-injury. They are snowed in for nearly three months before the Solvanian army pulls back to undisputed Solvanian territory, allowing the army to dig their way out and escape.

Clogson, who maintain that the Disputed Territory is mostly difficult mountain ranges that (A) can’t really be cultivated and (B) are populated almost exclusively by Igors without Borders, Trolls, and the Kvetch, none of whom pay much attention to international borders, anyway.
